  • The Essential College Package

This service was created in response to our challenging economic times.  While all of our services are an investment in a student's future and have the potential to save you money, this package provides the student with the basic guidance needed to get through the college process in a smart way.  It is a streamlined version of our Full Service package for those students who want the expertise of a college counselor, but who may work better with less supervision (though help is always only a phone call away, if needed). The package is targeted to assist a student with the following:

    • Evaluation of transcripts, course selection, test scores, and activities.
    • Examination and selection of possible majors.
    • Advising for Junior/Senior year class schedules.
    • Full college/vocational search with the student based on the student's and parents' criteria.
    • Advising the student regarding college choices with the best potential for his or her own growth and success.

    • Guiding the student through the application process (up to 6 unique applications included).
    • Education regarding the financial aid process and scholarships.
    • Advising regarding college offers, helping the student to make the best choice for him or her.
This service can start as early as the start of Junior year and runs until a college decision is made Senior year.
    Investment: $2500
  • Senior Year "It's Not Too Late" Package

Ideally, post-secondary planning should begin long before Senior year.  It allows the student to explore their interests, possible majors and careers.  It gives them time to reflect on what they want from a college experience, and to thoroughly seek out all options.  Some students and their families don't begin the college process until the student's Senior year for various reasons: not understanding the process and when to begin, a student's late decision to attend college, becoming overwhelmed with the process, or interruption due to life events.  This package can help get you on track, and it includes the essential services in the full package in a condensed time frame.

  • College List Package

For those students who only need assistance up until the application process, this package is for you.  Some families have already successfully navigated the application and financial aid process with an older child, but their next student is unsure of what type of college he or she wants, and/or has no direction as to prospective careers or majors.  Maybe this student is not as easy to work with as his or her older sibling.  This service helps with the first part of the process, culminating in complete list of colleges, with all relevant information, so that the student and family are ready to begin the application process.  Investment is for up to 12 months of service.
  • Essay Brainstorming and Editing Service

Essays are often the most difficult and frustrating part of the application process.  For those students who need some inspiration (and for parents who need a break), we offer essay preparation, guidance and editing.  Investment: $300 for the first unique essay, $150 for each additional essay.
  • Learning Differences & ADD/ADHD Add-on Package

Many students with documented learning differences and/or ADD/ADHD do not even consider college to be a post-secondary option.  This is unfortunate, as these students can have very successful and rewarding experiences if they are able to find a learning environment  suited for them.  As an add-on to any of the packages listed above, this package offers a specialized search designed to meet the student's particular learning needs.  It also includes monitoring the student's high school progress and current learning needs, educating the family on the services available in post-secondary environments, and transition guidance from the time of college acceptance until the student leaves for college.
  • Gap Year Package

Some students may decide that taking what is known as a "Gap year" may be right for them.  In most cases, they will apply and be accepted to a college, and opt to defer their enrollment for one year.  The student will use the year to work, volunteer, or travel. Sometimes it is to do something they've always wanted to do and haven't had the time, or simply to take a break after a stressful high school experience to avoid burnout. Others will take the Gap year to figure out what they want to do for college and/or career.  This package an be added onto the Full Service or Senior Year packages for those wishing to apply to college now, or can be purchased as a stand-alone package.  Services include guided self-exploration, extensive search of the numerous possibilities, the application process, and any preparation necessary for the program.
  • College Transfer Package

For the student who has decided to leave his or her current college or university, we offer this comprehensive package.  It includes exploration of the reasons for leaving, assessment of desired major/career, transferability of credits, college search and application process.
  • The "What do I do now?" Package

Have you started college and have no idea why you are there? Maybe you have decided you want to leave but have no direction?  Have you been taking classes and living at home, but still don't know what  career or major to pursue?  Have you left college and are now living at home, and you and your parents are thinking,  "Now what?"

Well, you should certainly first avail yourself of all of the free services your college/community college has to offer - academic adviser, career counseling office, professors, etc.  If you still need more guidance, then this package may be right for you.  It consists of 3 sessions in which we will assess your current situation, explore alternatives, and establish goals.  Investment: $375, which can later be applied toward a college or career package once a decision is made.

  • Career Exploration

For the young person who is unsure of his or her career choice, or the college graduate back home without a clear path to the career they want, this package will help you to assess strengths and challenges, explore interests, develop clear goals, illuminate multiple paths to a given outcome, and learn strategies to succeed.   The package includes 5 counseling sessions and the cost and administration of all assessments. The sessions can be in-person, over the phone, or a combination of both.   Investment:  $650.   (Long-term counseling and comprehensive career packages also available.)
  • Hourly counseling services

While our packaged services offer you the best value, those wishing to focus on only a few specific areas of concern have the option to invest in hourly counseling.  Examples: review an admission essay, get an opinion on a specific college choice, help filling out the FAFSA, deciding on which college offer to accept, review of transcript or activities, a brief consultation for those with students in middle school or early high school, help facilitating communication between parents and student, stress management, etc.    Investment : $150/hour.
